Steve Connor
Steve is President/CEO of Sports Outreach International, a nonprofit which pioneers sports ministry around the world. Connor’s passion is to help grow global sustainable Christian organizations that impact their communities. Steve is available to encourage and engage your team, community, or organization. He has spoken all over the world and loves bringing his rare storytelling style to young and old. Steve wants to inspire and motivate people to be rugged disciples and do rugged discipleship. He would love to meet your people and also hear your stories!
Steve has played, coached, and been a chaplain on every level of sport and in multiple countries. Steve is a frequent speaker, and has addressed various audiences from Nascar’s Joe Gibbs Racing to members of the British Royal Family.
He has a background in sport, NAIA two-time all American, and a “short and un-illustrious” career with the Historic Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams. He has published ten books, and has been a Global Facilitator for the International Sports Coalition, North America..
Steve and Michelle have been married for over thirty years (fifteen years living in the UK) they have three children all in missions. Connor was honored with his Doctorate degree from Azusa Pacific University.
Steve has visited over 100 countries and ridden motorcycles on six continents. He loves playing jazz on his 100-year-old upright bass, and lack only talent to be an accomplished musician.
